Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaimanre egészen fiatal korától kezdődően hatást gyakorolt a sci-fi és a fantasy, többek között J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Harlan Ellison és Ray Bradbury művei. A nagy áttörést a 2000-es Amerikai istenek hozta meg Gaimannek, melyért egyszerre kapta meg a Hugo-, Nebula, Bram Stoker- és Locus-díjakat, és ami a nem sci-fi olvasók előtt is ismertté és kedveltté tette. Az ezt követő műveit (Anansi fiúk, Coraline, Törékeny holmik, A temető könyve) szintén díjesőkkel honorálták, így az új évezred legfontosabb fantasy szerzőjévé vált. Nemrég sok időt töltött Kínában, jelenleg ottani utazásairól és az ország mítoszáról tervez könyvet írni, ami mellett további két gyermekkönyvön is dolgozik.
