'Consequential Reasoning by the Courts. An Investigation of Consequential Decision-Making and Reasoning Within the Civil Process': Although the social, economic, and environmental consequences of legal decisions are practically relevant for the courts, legal scholars have (so far) not developed a method for addressing them. This work aims to bridge the gap with a conceptual framework that shows how consequential reasoning can fit into the application of German law and the challenges that arise within the context of the rules of civil procedure.
